I Love The Companion Cube

Well I just finished Portal last night. I cannot explain enough how amazing that game got towards the end. I'm looking forward to discussing it on the next podcast. I will not be giving out any spoilers because I feel like the stuff that happens it just too cool to ruin. Just know that the cake is a lie and only the Companion Cube truly cares for you...

Podcast Number Three

I like what you guys are doing so far with the podcasts! Nice work! So here's some criticism both constructive and biased:

I like the lead in with the music at the beginning of the show...lead out the same way..kinda balances it out.

Have you thought about breaking up the show into different segments? Not sure exactly how you would want to organize it, but it might be cool to mix it up the flow a little bit, so it's not just straight talking the whole time. That's a minor issue though as long as the content is good to begin with. :)

Aleck, you're a hard core gamer...don't even try to play it off that you're not, which I think you tried to do a little bit in Ep. 3. :) You demand precise controls and want to have mastery over all the buttons and would prefer to use buttons instead of intuitive motions, such as swinging the Wiimote in Zelda to swing a sword...that seems to me to be an old-school way of thinking. Ideally, in my opinion, a good game experience should make you forget you're using the controls at all, not constantly remind you that proper button mashing is the only way to win...it should be so intuitive that it doesn't get in the way of anything else.

However, I agree that the Wiimote is indeed inprecise at times. But Nintendo took a gamble with all of this crazy new experience to begin with, remember? Things will improve. You can bet your sweet ass this will all improve next go-around.

Anyway, Zelda is always good...if anyone says otherwise I will stab them in the taint. Have a happy day!

Regarding you personal attack on my character.....

I would have to be a hardcore gamer to some degree to even be making this podcast in the first place.....so calling me hardcore is a given. It's all relative; I'm a hardcore gamer compared to you, but I have learned, since starting up with xbox live a few years ago, that there a tons of people out there that take gaming way more seriously than me and play many more hours during the week than I do.
Ok so now on to my views about game control.....What's wrong with preferring to play with a controller instead of a wiimote?
I address this more in episode 4....no I don't fully embrace the Wii.....DEAL WITH IT!!!!!

Congradulations!!!! You're the first person to complain about my opinions on 2 guys talk about games! That was fun and I look forward further complaints and debate in the future.

I Love You
